Personal Income Tax
There are a couple different ways by which you can pay your personal income taxes to the CRA. Either you can use your bank’s online bill payment feature, or you can pay through the CRA’s website. Both methods have been outlined below:
Online Banking
These are general instruction. The placement and names of menu options may be different based on each bank.
Step 1: Log in to your bank website
Step 2: Select the “Bill Payment” from the Menu section
Step 3: Select “Add a Payee”.
Step 4: Under the Payee name drop-down, type “CRA PERSONAL INCOME TAX – 2023 TAX RETURN REMITTANCE VOUCHER” and enter the SIN number and modify Payee’s name, if required. Click on “Next” to complete the process. Now, the “CRA Personal Income Tax-2023 Tax Return Remittance Voucher” Payee has been to your list of Payees.
Step 5: To make payment, select the payee that you just created from previous steps and click “Pay”.

1. Click “Pay now”
2. Under Individuals, click “Individual Income Tax (T1)”
3. Click “2023 Tax Return”
4. Fill Following Information:
SIN: ********* **Double Check Account # **
Amount : $ x,xxx.xx
Click Next
5. Click “Confirm and Proceed to Pay”
6. Click “Pay Now”
7. Under Payment Method, Click “Interac” and click “Proceed to Online Banking” **Please make sure about online transaction limit you have**
8. Click to choose your financial institution and follow the instructions.
9. Please make sure to print the receipt.
